Wow, am I bad at keeping my blog up to date. My former colleague Gary Craig is putting me to shame; he seems to actually have increased his output since retiring. I’d highly recommend subscribing to his Substack if you’re in Rochester.
Anyway: I wanted to announce that Cornell University Press has recently released my book in paperback. Among other things, that brings the retail price down to $21.95. Whether you’re buying hardcover or paperback, I’d encourage you to support a local independent bookseller when you make your purchase.
Alternately, you can come buy one from me directly. My speaking schedule has slowed but I’ve still got a few dates now and then, including Oct. 15 at the Brockport Writers Forum. Books will be for sale there (the paperbacks, I think) thanks to Lift Bridge Book Shop, a lovely store in the village of Brockport.
Both in my day job at Our Local History and on my own time, I’ve been doing some really interesting local history work and brainstorming ways to bring it out into the public before long. More to come!
